Idris Elba has expressed his interest in a role in The Inbetweeners movie sequel.
The actor, who famously played anti-hero drug dealer Stringer Bell in The Wire, is claimed to be desperate to appear in the second big-screen adaptation of the hit British sitcom.
Anthony Head, who plays Will's father, revealed to Empire that he had heard the news first hand.
"I was at a gig with Idris Elba recently and he says he'll do anything in it.
"He said he'd do a walk-on, so I've got to email them and say: 'Idris Elba wants to be in it'."
The Inbetweeners Movie 2 was announced by creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley earlier this month, with shooting set to begin later this year.
Central characters Will (Simon Bird), Jay (James Buckley), Neil (Blake Harrison) and Simon (Joe Thomas) will all be back for the movie, which is expected to be released next August.
