The Inbetweeners Movie Sequel: It's Official

A sequel to The Inbetweeners Movie will be shot later this year, it has been confirmed.

The creative team behind the hit 2011 film have issued an official statement revealing that the follow-up will be in cinemas in UK and Ireland next August.

Creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley said: "We couldn't be more excited to be making another Inbetweeners movie with Simon, Joe, James and Blake. Frankly it's pathetic how much we've all missed each other.

"A new chapter in the lives of the Inbetweeners feels like the very least we can do to thank the fans for their phenomenal response to the first movie."

The first film was fully financed by Channel 4 and the sequel will be co-financed by Bwark Productions with Channel 4/Film4.
