Over the weekend, MTV premiered the first part of its Skepta: Last year Skepta was No. 3, this year he’s in at No. 8. Nevertheless, the grime star from north London has still managed to maintain his underground rep, and he even hit up the mainstream charts a couple of times in 2011, too. A member of the panel thought that he hadn’t found "the right mainstream sound yet", but he definitely deserves a place in this year’s list.

7. Ghetts: Ghetts wasn’t too happy when he wasn’t in 2010’s list and he went on to make a track that MTV and the panel won’t forget in a hurry, 'Who’s On The Panel'. Coming in at No. 6, we feel that this is a good place for the east Londoner. 'Who’s On The Panel (Part 2)' would’ve been fun, though!
