Lupe Fiasco & Trey Songz For 2011 MTV Movie Awards
Lupe Fiasco and Trey Songzhave been announced as the first performers at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.
The Grammy Award winning rapper is set to take to the stage with Trey at the star-studded bash next month, for their first-ever televised performance together.
Fiasco will treat fans to two songs from his hit LP, LASERS, which debuted at No.1 on the Billboard charts, first performing The Show Goes On, before welcoming Trey Songz to debut their collaboration, Out Of My Head.
Speaking of his performance at the ceremony, Lupe Fiasco stated: "I'm excited to be performing on this year's MTV Movie Awards. I'm looking forward to putting together another special performance for my fans."
Trey Songz continued: "Out Of My Head is such a dope song and easily one of my favourite collaborations to date. When Lupe first played the track for me I knew it was going to be a smash and I'm happy it's been received so well.”
He added: "The MTV Movie Awards are such a special event and Lupe is a great performer, so I am excited to be able to do the show with him."
The 20th Annual MTV Movie Awards take place on Sunday, June 5, at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.
