Anne Hathaway To Play Judy Garland

Anna Hathaway, star of Brokeback Mountain and The Devil Wears Prada has confirmed she will be playing the legendary singer in the film Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland.

She also said she is terrified about the part – calling herself ‘insane’.

‘I think I'm either naive or insane to play her - maybe a little bit of both!’ – Anne Hathaway told the New York Daily News.

She also wants the approval of Judy Garland’s daughter, Liza Minelli.

‘I haven't had a chance to talk to her about it yet, but I understand that as long as I treat Judy with respect - which of course I will - Liza is very happy about it.’
