10 Best Step Up Moments Of All Time
Moose, aka Adam G. Sevani, celebrates his 22nd birthday this weekend. Time to break out the Step Up clips in celebration!
By Gary Ogden
You better get your party hats on, because on June 29th it's Adam G. Sevani's birthday! Who? Well, it's only Moose from the Step Up films. Still no? Well, he's the best character (and possibly the best dancer) in the franchise. You still don't know? Well then, check out some of the clips below and SCHOOL YOSELF, D-BAG. So as a nice present for Moose (and you), here are the ten best moments from the Step Up franchise:
Step Up 2 – Moose On The Stairs
This is Moose, in case you were wondering, and as we said above – he's very good at dancing. Even better than you. He even manages to impress a girl by dancing along to his ringtone – you failed spectacularly last time you tried that, didn't you? Although we suppose it helps that his ringtone isn't the Thomas The Tank Engine theme tune.
Step Up 3 – Robot Rock
It's lucky that by the time Step Up 3D was made, real robots were available to play characters, because otherwise how would they have been able to film this scene? This particular robot is called Madd Chadd and is clearly the best in the world at imitating a human. You'd almost believe he wasn't a robot.
Step Up 2 – Training Montage
Just like any good Jean-Claude Van Damme movie, each Step Up film contains a training montage. Only instead of kicking trees and doing the splits, these guys are spinning on their heads and, well, doing the splits.
Step Up Revolution – Dancing On Cars
We'll ignore the fact that these reckless individuals are completely trashing the cars of numerous innocent members of the public, and instead focus on all the snazzy dancing that they're doing. It's good isn't it? Of course, none of it is at all plausible, but you know, SNAZZ.
Step Up 3 – Water Dance
Here we have our dancers taking a leaf out of Triple H's book (of crimes against hygiene) and spitting water everywhere. Why? Because it looks 'cool', that's why.
Step Up – The Parking Lot
This is where it all started – not only for the Step Up franchise, but also for megastar-in-waiting Channing Tatum. So now next time you're being silly in a car park in front of your mates and someone tells you to stop, just shout “Channing Tatum” and they'll understand. Probably.
Step Up 2 – Channing Tatum Returns
C-T-Cruiser (Channing Tatum) isn't really in Step Up 2 all that much, but he does pop up at the beginning to do some peng dancing in a club that inexplicably has trampolines in the dancefloor. You've gotta admit – the Yates bars are much cooler in America than in the UK.
Step up 3 – Fancy Footwork
Here we have another training montage, this time set to Fancy Footwork by Chromeo, which in case you were unaware is one of the best songs in existence. Thus making this one of the best scenes in existence. And therefore one of the best films. (And one of the best lists?)
Step Up 2 – The End Dance
Throughout the Step Up series, the final dance is always the one to beat, and this one from the second entry is a doozy. Again, it's completely stupid and breaks the rules of the competition completely, but still, look at all the flips and spinning and stuff. Also, water makes things look COOL, remember?
Step Up 3 – The End Dance
This ups the ante over the previous instalment somewhat – we've now descended into a nightmarish hallucination of lights and twirling and banging and jumping that'll turn your brain into custard. Still, it's a SODDING IMPRESSIVE nightmarish hallucination of lights and twirling and banging and jumping that'll turn your brain into custard. Isn't it?
