Gisele Walks The Runway For The Last Time And We Can’t Help But Cry A Bit
The Brazilian babe waved goodbye to her 20-year catwalk career in Sao Paulo…
Gisele Bundchen has hung up her high heels and said farewell to her 20-year catwalk career, walking the runway one last time, at Sao Paulo Fashion Week on Wednesday.
Watched by NFL husband Tom Brady, the Brazilian babe bowed out during streetwear label Colcci’s show, bursting into tears when her fellow models emerged wearing T-shirts with her image on them.
As the highest paid model in the world for eight years running, Gisele banked £32 million in 2014, so we’d say it’s definitely a well-earned retirement.
Over on Instagram, Gisele posted a photo of herself at age 14, on her first runway job.
“I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey,” she wrote. “Today after 20 years in the industry, it is a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice and yet still be working in other facets of the business. #firstrunway #14yearsold.”
Now 34, the mum-of-three also showed off the back of her Colcci vest, with the slogan ‘The Best Is Yet To Come’.
We’re off to watch old Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows and cry.
