Last Rites For Death Row
Suge will have assets seized if he misses next court appearance...
Suge Knight will have his assets seized and Death Row Records will go into receivership if he fails to turn up to a court appearance on Saturday.
Marion "Suge" Knight has so far missed three hearings after being ordered to pay $107m to Lydia Harris, who claims she co-founded the legendary hip-hop label in the early 90s. The court awarded Lydia the money in March 2005 " but matters were further complicated when her ex-husband Michael claimed he was owed half of her share. In August that year Suge, who has previously been jailed for assault and parole violation, had his assets frozen.
Lydias lawyer Steve Goldberg said: "There is no explanation or excuse for [Knights] not coming. There are rules of court that should be obeyed and Mr Knight is making a mockery of it."
