This New Super Mario Bros. Video Gives Mario Disabled Access
Enable. Access. For. EVERYONE.
Forget saving princesses. This new video shows Mario facing a whole new set of problems.
He’s probably the most famous plumber in the world, known for his excellent jumping skills (as well as his dungarees and moustache, obv), but now we get to see what the game would be like if he was in a wheelchair.
After injuring himself jumping for a mushroom, Mario returns in his next life in a wheelchair, highlighting just how unfriendly the Super Mario Bros. universe would be for the disabled.
But fear not – this new Mario is quickly given disabled access, with ramps and lifts helping him maneuver his way through the level.
The awesome vid is trying to remind people that getting around is often still incredibly difficult for the disabled, as the final message says, “It’s not the 80s anymore. Enable access for EVERYONE”.
With nearly 300,000 views on YouTube already, we reckon this is an awesome way to make a super important statement.
