Super Mario Run Is About To Hit Your iPhone
Nintendo is expected to roll-outSuper Mario Run very soon, and we couldn't be more excited.If you have an iPhone or an iPad you'llbe able to download it for freeshortly.
The game uses a classic Mario style where players move from left to right collecting coins, jumping on bad guys and unlocking power-ups. So it should appeal to the old school fans and offer something fun for those new to the game who have never owned a Nintendo, but can now play through their iPhone or iPad.
Super Mario Run is free to download, but to unlock the full game you’ll need to pay the £7.99 in-game charge. If you pay, you'llunlock three modes:
- World Tour for a six world side-scrolling Mario classic style game to save Princess Peach.
- Toad Rally for a multiplayer mode to get a coin collecting high score.
- Kingdom Builder to make your own worlds and unlock bonus characters.
The game can only be played with an active internet connection. So if you’re on the London Underground, or if you like to play games when you go potholing because you're a crazy person,you’re not going to be able to. This is a move, says creator Shigeru Miyamoto, to make sure piracy is limited.
Nintendo also plans to release Super Mario Run on Android, but the release date for that has not been revealed yet.
