Here Are All The Brand New Features Coming To Super Mario Odyssey

If you've already finished Super Mario Odyssey but are desperate for more, there's a free update coming to Super Mario Odyssey next month.

Coming in February, Luigi's Balloon World is a new mini-game that will unlock once you've completed the main story campaign. Talk to Luigi to get started, and you'll be offered two options - one to hide a balloon within 30 seconds, and another to find a balloon in the same time hidden by another player.

There's even a world rankings list, so you'll get full-on bragging rights as you progress up the rankings.

"The key to settings high scores is knowing every nook and cranny of a kingdom's terrain," explains the narrator from yesterday's Nintendo Direct presentation. "It's like a new form of objective-based speed running."

There's also new outfits coming - a Knight helmet and armour, a Musician hat and outfit, and - best of all - Mario's sunshine shades and outfit from Super Mario Sunshine. And to help you show everything off, you'll also get new filters for Snapshot mode (ever wanted to turn your screenshot into a Mario gold coin? Well, now you can!)

Super Mario Odyssey is out now on Nintendo Switch.
