Batman director Christopher Nolan has called the upcoming Man Of Steel adaption "far more difficult" than his Dark Knight trilogy.
Despite breathing new life into Batman's big-screen adventures, Nolan insists a Superman reboot is a much tougher job.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he said: "In my honest appraisal, taking on Superman and creating that world is far more difficult than creating the world of the Dark Knight."
Nolan added: "[Zack Snyder] has a lot of finishing to do on the movie - it has a very long post-production schedule because, unlike Batman, Superman flies."
The Dark Knight Rises director - who is a producer on Man Of Steel - had nothing but admiration for helmsman Zack Snyder, describing him as "the perfect man to take this on".
Nolan previously said that the new film will make Superman "relatable and relevant" for today's moviegoers.
