Christopher Nolan Denies Marvel Movies Dig
Christopher Nolan has issued a statement to distance himself from an interview quote which appeared to knock Marvel films.
The Inception and Interstellar filmmaker - who also directed the Dark Knight Trilogy of Batman movies for Warner Brothers - was quoted in The Guardian as dismissing the idea of having a post-credits scene in one of his movies.
He and Zack Snyder were claimed to have considered a "comedy coda ending in the style of Marvel" for the Superman reboot Man Of Steel - which Nolan produced.
And the paper quoted him as saying: "A real movie wouldn't do that."
However the filmmaker told Buzzfeed that he really said: "We shouldn't be chasing other movies, but stay true to the tone of Man Of Steel."
And he explained: "I would never say someone else's film isn't a real film. The quote is inaccurate."
Interstellar touches down in UK cinemas tomorrow.
