Will Mad Max Director George Miller Take Over Man Of Steel 2?

Veteran filmmaker rumoured to be in talks to replace Zack Snyder...

We just got a whole lot more excited about the sequel to Man of Steel - thanks to the news that George Miller could be in the frame to direct the superhero sequel.

Zack Snyder was set to helm the follow-up to his Superman reboot, but is so busy with Warner Brothers' two forthcoming Justice League films that the studio is claimed to be talking to Miller.

The 70-year-old director's Mad Max: Fury Road has been a critical and commercial hit this year - stunning audiences with the intensity of its action and its unconventional approach to the action genre.

And it's not just idle speculation either. Miller has been spotted on the set of Warner Brothers' Suicide Squad film and a reputable source reckons the studio wants him to direct Man Of Steel 2.

Jon Schnepp, the director of documentary The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?, made the claim during an interview on Popcorn Talk - a YouTube movies show.

Henry Cavill is set to reprise his role as Superman in the sequel, which does not yet have a release date.
