Susan Boyle was said to be 'overcome with emotion' after fans threw her a surprise birthday party in Japan.
The I Dreamed A Dream singer, who is currently in Tokyo promoting her best-selling album reportedly bust into tears when Su-Bo fans presented her with a birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday to the 49 year old.
A onlooker said: "She couldn't believe her eyes and burst into tears."
The event organiser Linda Caillet stated: "This started out as a small idea. A couple of us asked if anyone wanted to go to see Susan sing in Japan and before long it became a big group of us from all over the world."
She added: "One of the group flew over from Australia for a day to buy the tickets because you could only get them in Japan."
Su-Bo was also given presents by her adoring fans, including a £6,000 bracelet from her label boss Simon Cowell, who championed Boyle through her stint on Britain's Got Talent.
A source said: "She had seen the bracelet in a magazine and said, 'Gosh, imagine owning something like that.' So Simon tracked it down at Harrods."
Susan, who turns 49 today will receive the best present of a £4 million pay out from Cowell's record label, Syco as reward for her LP selling over 8.5 million copies worldwide…and that's no April Fool!
