As we previously reported, the 36-year old was found dead at his LA apartment on Friday (13th July), with Radar Online stating that "a number of prescription bottles" were found at the scene.
Stallone has since issued a statement to TMZ regarding his sons tragic passing, where the Rocky actor said: "When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain.
"Therefore I am imploring people to respect my talented son's memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha."
He added: "This agonising loss will be felt for the rest of our lives. Sage was our first child and the centre of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory in full left in peace."
An autopsy on Sage's body has since been completed, with a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Coroner telling CNN that the results have been deferred until toxicology tests have been carried out.
At this stage, the cause of death is still unclear, with CNN adding that a final toxicology report could take between six to eight weeks.
