Most of the verses on The Flood are sung by Robbie, including the opening lines when he croons: “Standing on the edge of forever/ on the start of whatever… back then we were like cavemen/ but we mapped the moon and the stars, then we forgave them.”
The chorus includes the lines: “No one understood, we were holding back the flood, hand and hand against the rain, we were holding back the flood, they said we’d never dance again.”
The epic production on the track comes from Stuart Price - who has previously worked with Keane, The Killers and Madonna.
The song is released on November 15, with the full video set to debut next Friday. Their new album Progress will be released a week later.
