Take That Do Treble
But they nearly missed out to a man who makes 'em look like whipper snappers...
Take That are sitting at the top of the singles, album and download charts this morning.
'Patience' spent a fourth week at the summit of the top 40, while the album 'Beautiful World' kept Oasis's greatest hits, 'Stop The Clocks', Westlife's 'The Love Album' and Il Divo's 'Siempre' at bay, for a third week.
The boys held onto the singles No 1 amid fierce competition from the grandfather of pop, Cliff Richard who released his annual festive jingler last week. '21st Century Christmas' is sitting - like a pair of your favourite reindeer slippers at the fireside - at No 2.
Meanwhile yGwen Stefani yodelled five places up from No 8 to No 3 with 'Wind It Up' and dance maestros Cascada shot to No 4 with 'Truly, Madly, Deeply'.
Other festive offerings in the top 40 include Crazy Frog at No 16 with 'Last Christmas', Andy Abraham at No 18 with 'December Brings Me Back To You' and Ricky Tomlinson's 'My Arse' at No 25.
The race for Christmas No 1 is on but with X Factor winner Leona releasing 'A Moment Like This' on Wednesday we think Take That might be finally out of the running...
