Take That Switch On Regent Street Christmas Lights

Man band are top exhibits as Night At The Museum themed illuminations revealed...

Take That have been given the honour of flicking the switch on London's highest-profile set of festive illuminations.

Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald braved a chill November evening in the capital to turn on the Christmas lights in the world-famous Regent Street - which are this year themed around the latest Night At The Museum movie.

And the three remaining members of the man band were joined by Union J, Jessie Ware, Mark Wright and Jason Donovan among other celebs at the event.

Although Take That didn't sing themselves, the switch on at 5pm was followed by performances from Union J, Jessie Ware and The Jersey Boys.

The boys said in a statement: "Turning on the Christmas lights in London is like the starter gun for the main event.

"It's the official start to the party season."
