It’s hoped the buzz around the one-off performance may lead to calls for a full-scale US tour. The lads are already planning a UK tour for next year, including a possible headline slot at Glastonbury, so US dates could easily be added to their schedule.

"It has always been the boys' dream to perform at the Hollywood Bowl. They would feel like their career was complete,” an insider told the News of the World. "Now that Robbie's back, it's become much more of a possibility that Take That can do a show at the Bowl to launch one more bid to break America.

“It was in LA that the guys first put aside their differences and decided to work together again, so this will take them full circle."

Take That’s new album, the first to feature Robbie since he left the group in 1995, is released in November.
