Tanya Burr Isn't Here For Haters Dissing Her Outfit Choice: ‘F***ing Get Over It!’
Four for you Tanya, four for you.
Everyone knows Tanya Burr as one of the sweetest YouTube stars around, but it’s fair to say we all have a breaking point and being a badass feminist type, Tan's been (rightly) standing up for herself this week.
Yep, the usually mild-mannered vlogger isn't taking trolling lying down and hit back after some so-called fans criticised her for what she was wearing in her latest video.
Wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the name of 1970s rock legends Joy Division in a Q&A video posted over the weekend, Tanya drew criticism from certain viewers who doubted she knew who the band were.
“I wonder if she even knows who Joy Division is,” wrote one, while another commented: “She has NOT a clue.”
An unimpressed Tanya saw the comment and decided to respond, slamming the trolls for their words. Because she totally knows who Joy Division is, OK? And even if she didn't, so what, really?
Speaking out on Twitter, Tan wrote: “I can't even begin to explain how much self-righteous little people like you both grate on me. Who are you to know what bands I have been brought up listening to and have meaning in my life?
“I happen to like Joy Division, but even if I didn't, vintage looking band tees are in fashion right now and you're going to see a lot of people wearing them, so I suggest you f****ing get over it."
Right on, Tanya!
