Tanya Burr Owns Body Shamers Claiming She Photoshops Her Instagram Pics
It's no secret that Tanya Burr is more fashionable than a bag of Burberry scarves, but that hasn't stopped the body shamers trying to bring her down with claims that she photoshops her pics before posting them on Instagram.
Luckily Tan isn't taking any of that rubbish and has slammed the haters for implying she edits her photos after they made comparisons between the differences in her selfies and some paparazzi photos that appeared in the press this week after she was snapped on the beach on her holidays over in Miami.
Explaining that yes, while she might look different in paparazzi photos and her self-taken pics, that has absolutely nothing to do with photoshopping, Tanya was sassier than the nail painting emoji as she spoke a whole lot of sense about the comments she'd seen online.
In the series of Snapchat videos addressing what some were saying, she explained: "Basically, paparazzi shots are always going to be the most unflattering because they're photographing you in direct sunlight.
"You don't know you're being photographed and so it's not going to be nice, whereas when I Instagram a photo of myself of course I'm going to be standing in the most flattering position and I'm ready for the photo, so of course I'm going to look better, but I don't edit them," she added.
To prove a point, Tan then got her friend Kate to film a head to toe shot on Snapchat to prove what she looks like once and for all.
"Guys this is me unedited, video footage of me in a bikini, can't be edited. So haters, take your negativity elsewhere," she said.
Obviously Tanya looked totally bodacious - as she always does - but that's not the point. It's what she says about the differences in the kinds of images, because it makes a whole load of sense: of course we're all always going to choose the photos of ourselves where we feel we look our best. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that if that's what you want to do. But equally that doesn't mean she's any less of a champion when it comes to body positivity or that she's actually been 'photoshopping' her images, does it?
