Donald Trump Said He Likes Taylor Swift’s Music ‘25 Percent Less’ After Political Post
He's responded to her recent Instagram upload.
President Trump has responded to Taylor Swift’s recent political post in support of the Democratic party and it’s safe to say he’s not her biggest fan rn.
The 28-year-old has previously come in for criticism for refusing to share her political beliefs but recently decided to announce her support for Phil Bredesen for the Senate and Jim Cooper for House of Representatives as she prepares to vote in Tennessee’s mid-term elections.
When Trump was asked about her political Instagram post, he took the opportunity to defend Republican candidate, Marsha Blackburn: “Marsha Blackburn is doing a very good job in Tennessee. She’s leading now, substantially, as she should. She’s a tremendous woman.
“I am sure Taylor Swift does not know anything about her and let’s say that I like Taylor’s music 25% less now,” he added.
Taylor decided to break political silence in a passionate post: “I believe that the systemic racism we still see in this country towards people of colour is terrifying, sickening and prevalent.
“I cannot vote for someone who will not be willing to fight for dignity for ALL Americans, no matter their skin colour, gender or who they love,” she said. “As much as I have in the past and would like to continue voting for women in office, I cannot support Marsha Blackburn.”
“Her voting record in Congress appauls and terrifies me. She voted against equal pay for women. ‘She voted against the reauthorisation of the Violence Against Women Act, which attempts to protect women from domestic violence, stalking, and date rape.
“She believes businesses have a right to refuse service to gay couples. She also believes they should not have the right to marry. These are not MY Tennessee values,” she concluded.
