Jake Gyllenhaal Just Expertly Swerved A Question Involving Ex Taylor Swift
Jake Gyllenhaal has proved that he's capable of dodging the most uncomfortable questions after being asked to comment on his ex Taylor Swift in an interviewthat could've gone drastically wrong.
'Let's all get checking out an update from MTV News...'
The actor has been pretty open about the fact that he doesn't like answering questions about their 2010 relationship. In an interview with The Guardian, Jake was asked whether he thought dating Taylor was like "playing with fire."
He responded:"I think when you're in a relationship, you are constantly scrutinised, your friends are scrutinised, but..." before reportedlystaring at the interview for a small eternityand saying: "I would love to not talk about my personal life."
While Jake doesn't often participate in Facebook Live's, he recently sat down with Jeff Bauman - a survivor of the Boston marathon bombing - who Jake is set to portray in upcoming film Stronger.
Jeff askedthe question:"If you lost your legs in real life, do you think Taylor Swift would write a song about it?"
"For me, or about it?" Jake replied.
Jeff responded:"For you - like a country song", which causedJake to shut down the conversation with a casual seven words: "She sort of moved into pop now." And that was that.
For a bit of background on their relationship, it's widely assumed that Taylor's 2012 song All Too Well was written aboutJake. As fate would have it, the mystery of the missing scarf in the opening verse has recently been cleared up by sister Maggie Gyllenhaal.
"I never understood why everybody asked me about this scarf," she declared in an interview on Watch What Happens Live.As for whether it's gathering dust in acupboard somewhere, she said:"It's totally possible. I don't know."
