Modern Family Star Covers Taylor Swift's Shake It Off. Makes It Even More Fabulous
Jesse Tyler Ferguson has stunned audiences with an amazing cover of Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off.
The actor, who plays Mitchell Pritchett on Modern Family, took to the stage at a benefit concert in Los Angeles last weekend.
He told the Trevor Project audience: "I know what you're thinking: Why is a 39-year-old gay man singing Taylor Swift? It's making me uncomfortable," before going on to discuss the challenges he faced as a young man in (his) 1989.
Jesse's Modern Family co-star (and friend of T-Swizzle) Sarah Hyland uploaded an Instagram video clip of the performance, writing, "Two of my favorite people coming together.@jessetyler singing @taylorswift at #Trevorlive tonight. So funny!!! Killed it my fake uncle #shakeitoff."
Swifty seemed to approve of the cover version, writing: "YES YES YES THIS," and giving a link to Hyland's Instagram post on her Twitter account.
