Susan Boyle Beaten By Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift narrowly beat Susan Boyle to become the biggest selling artist of 2009 in the US.

 

The Britain’s Got Talent runner up has spent the past six weeks at number one and shifted 3.1 million copies of her album I Dreamed A Dream.

 

But even that hasn’t been enough to beat country queen Taylor. Her album Fearless sold 3.21 million copies last year despite being released in 2008.

 

Late King of Pop Michael Jackson was the third biggest seller of 09 while Lady GaGa finished fourth on the overall chart.

 

Earlier this week Taylor Swift celebrated another triumph when she was named as part of the ‘Hottest On Screen Couple’ around with Taylor Lautner.
