Bad News: Taylor Swift Says She Won't Be Touring In 2017
Although there IS a silver lining to this dark, dark doom cloud.
Not to make your Monday that little bit more rubbish than usual, but there's some bad news for anyone with their fingers, toes and eyeballs crossed that Taylor Swift will be heading out on tour this year.
Taking to the stage to perform at the DirecTV Now Super Saturda Night event ahead of the Super Bowl this weekend, Taylor revealed that it is currently the only show she's planning to perform in 2017.
With rumours rife that she's due for a musical comeback at any minute, Swifties has been hoping that Tay might not only debut some new music at the show in Texas, but that it might mark some hints about a new album and tour too.
Unfortunately Taylor's keeping her cards close to her chest and while she did perform 'Better Man', the song she wrote for Little Big Town and 'I Don't Wanna Live Forever' live for the first time - albeit without Zayn Malik - she also revealed that it is currently the only show she has planned for the entire year.
"As far as I know I'm only doing one show in 2017, and as far as I know, this is that show," Taylor told the crowd. "You are attending 100 per cent of my tour dates."
Still, there is a potentialy silver lining to this dark, dark doom cloud and let's all just cross every single one of our body parts in hope that Taylor's use of the phrase "as far as I know" means that perhaps a tour is yet to be booked but is indeed on the way in 2017.
We can only hope.
