Taylor Swift has revealed Kanye West called her to say sorry- after upstaging her acceptance speech at this weekend’s VMAs.

And it seems the country singer has accepted his apology. She told a US radio station:

“Kanye did call me and he was very sincere in his apology, and I accepted that apology.”

"The support I got from other artists and from the fans, and so many people sticking up for me, that's what got me to the place where I could accept that apology,"

West jumped on stage Sunday to say Beyonce should have picked up the Best Female Video award not Taylor.

In an earlier interview on TV show The View Swift explained her thoughts as the events took place.

She said: "Well, I think my overall thought process was something like, 'Wow, I can't believe I won, this is awesome, don't trip and fall, I'm gonna get to thank the fans, this is so cool,'…

" 'Oh, Kanye West is here. Cool haircut. What are you doing there?' And then, 'Ouch.' And then, 'I guess I'm not gonna get to thank the fans.' "

Taylor was later brought back on stage by Beyonce to complete her speech.
