Taylor Swift 'Fought' For New Song Sweeter Than Fiction

The singer discusses her track from the Paul Potts biopic One Chance…

Taylor Swift has admitted she had to "fight" management and label bosses to release her latest track Sweeter Than Fiction.

The song is featured in the new Paul Potts biopic One Chance, but the songstress has revealed she almost wasn't allowed to write and record it.

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, Taylor revealed: "I had to fight to do this because I try to take a break in between albums and try and give people a minute to not hear me on the radio."

She continued: "I had to go around and ask people, 'Can I please, please put something out?' even though we're supposed to be going quiet."

The busy 23-year-old released her fifth studio album Red last year and is currently embarking on a worldwide arena tour.

Swift dished: "My management, my label were like, 'No new music until the next album comes out.' Then I saw the movie and I was like, 'I have to be a part of this.'"

One Chance stars James Corden and is based on the life of 2007 Britain's Got Talent winner, opera singer Paul Potts.

T-Swizzle admits she's a huge fan of the film, saying: "I think this movie is so incredible, it's funny, it's adorable, it's heart-warming and I'm lucky to be a part of it."

One Chance will hit cinemas on October 25.
