Taylor Swift: 'I Love Being Surrounded By Friends'
T-Swizzle says she has no time for 'yes-men' and likes people around her who are "brutally honest and genuine"...
Taylor Swift has revealed she only likes to surround herself with genuine people.
The Everything Has Changed hitmaker, who is close pals with the likes of Selena Gomez, Lorde and the UK's very own Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding and Cara Delevingne, has told Look magazine she made the decision as she wants to say grounded.
Swift explained: "I don't want people around me telling me what they think I'd like to hear. I love being surrounded by friends who are brutally honest and genuine.
"[We talk about] everything, except our work! It's always about reconnecting with each other, talking about relationships, love and guys - all the basic things!"
She went on to address the personal songs that feature on her current album Red, revealing that her next release will still be close to heart.
T-Swizzle told the mag: "My song writing will always have a confessional aspect, because I naturally draw on my life and my stories.
"I don't want to keep repeating the same things, though - you want to be able to explore those themes in different ways and have something new to say."
And, when asked how she feels being a role model to so many young girls, Taylor replied: "I don't have any of that in my head when I write them. It's maybe a natural extension of me talking about not taking crap from people that others might take inspiration from.
"That would make me very happy if my songs can reach out to people and lead them to do something positive."
The 23-year old also hit the headlines this week after chopping off her long, blonde hair as a man, who looked suspiciously like ex-boyfriend Harry Styles looked on.
