Wednesday night’s Country Music Awards show in Nashville, Tennessee could have been called the “Taylor Swift Show” as the country music superstar took home four awards including Entertainer of the Year.
The three other wins came in the Album of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, and Music Video of the Year (don’t worry, Kanye wasn’t there) categories.
Her awards collection now includes over 30 trophies from shows such as the American Music Awards, MTV Music Awards, Teen Choice Awards, and Country Music Awards.
These recent achievements have further proved Swift’s dominance of the country music genre, as well as broken ground for young female artists around the world.
At 19, Swift has become the youngest performer to win the Entertainer of the Year award at the Country Music Awards, and stated at the show that “I’ll never forget this moment because in this moment, everything I ever wanted has just happened to me.”
As if her monumental achievements in the music world were not enough, Swift will be starring in her first feature film in 2010.
The film, entitled Valentine’s Day, is a romantic comedy about ten different couples, and their (you guessed it!) Valentine’s Days.
