There’s A Period Parody Of Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood And It's (Ahem) Bloody Brilliant

This tampon tax protest is GENIUS...

First everyone LOVED Taylor Swift’s video for Bad Blood, which features every lady celebrity in existence and saw all of them kicking ass.

Then Katy Perry called her out for using their much publicised feud to make some cash, and Miley Cyrus pointed out that gun-toting pop stars don’t exactly make for the best role models.

It’s all very controversial.

But now, two British comedians have decided to put T-Swizzle’s influence to good use.

They’re using the song to protest the tampon tax.

Talk about a literal interpretation, eh?

Cariad Lloyd and Jenny Bede have created a pretty (ahem) bloody brilliant parody version of the video featuring characters including Heavy Flow, Applic Hater (geddit?) and Redd Rag. Their purpose? To convince George Osborne to get rid of the ridiculous 5% tax placed on very necessary women’s sanitary products, which are currently classed as "non-essential, luxury" items.

NON-ESSENTIAL?SERIOUSLY? W.T.F?!

Meanwhile, items that make the"essentials" list include crocodile and kangaroo steak, men's razors and edible cake decorations.

A Change.org petition titled ‘Stop Taxing Periods’ currently has over 242,700 signatures - but it’s not enough.

Like the ladies sing: "Come on George Osborne you can scrap the tax, why do you think your box is red, hmm?”
