Tom Hiddleston Has The Final Word On Whether His Relationship With Taylor Swift Is A Publicity Stunt
Actor Tom Hiddleston says his romance with new girlfriend Taylor Swift isn't a publicity stunt, thanks. Full story at MTV.co.uk.
It's been quite the week for dramas as far as Taylor Swift is concerned, what with ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris having a go at her on Twitter and then Kim Kardashian having a go at her on the telly.
But at least there is one positive thing we can all hang on to and that's her new boyfriend Tom Hiddleston clearing up all those rumours about their relationship being a publicity stunt.
As is the way when two high-profile celebs start dating, it always starts with a load of speculation examining every single angle of their relationship. While some of us are just excited to look at pictures of two beautiful and talented humans kissing and looking in lurrrve, there are also always doubters who question the legitimacy of things.
In this case there have been a lot of rumours about Hiddleswift, mainly as it seemed to come slightly out of the blue. One theory doing the rounds is that the whole thing is a publicity stunt or perhaps even being 'staged' for TayTay's next music video, sort of like an ironic comment on the media scrutiny itself.
But now Tom's had his say and after that super awkward first interview he did about Taylor at the beginning of the week, he's now decided to put the weirder rumours to bed. Not like that.
Chatting to the Hollywood Reporter, he was asked outright if the romance is real and replied: "Well, um. How best to put this?"
"The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we're very happy. Thanks for asking," he added, apparently with a polite chuckle. "That's the truth. It's not a publicity stunt."
So there you have it - straight from the horse/Asgardian god's mouth. Yes, that was a Loki reference if anyone's interested.
CASE CLOSED. THE END. AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER (at least until the next rumour, let's be real).
