Being a mum will always come with its own set of challenges along the way, many of which we’ve seen our lovely young mums overcome on Teen Mom UK.

Now, Shannon – the newest mum to join the show – has opened up about the challenges she faced after finding out she was pregnant with son Theodore, from being judged by others to losing the support of her friends.

Speaking in an honest chat with MTV, Shannon first speaks about how it felt to have other people looking at her when she was pregnant, admitting: “I felt like I was judged by quite a lot of people.

“Just, like, people looking at me when I was pregnant, looking at my bump, then looking at my face thinking, ‘How does that add up?’.”

The mum-of-one goes on to reveal how her friends reacted to her pregnancy news, explaining that she perhaps didn’t get the support she’d hoped for.

Shannon tells MTV: “My friends at the time I felt didn’t really understand that I couldn’t go out as much anymore, I couldn’t hack staying out until, like, 12 at night just driving around, or I couldn’t come out on the weekends just to get drunk.

“I think that’s when a lot of them did drop me, they just weren’t really there to support me.”

Despite the challenges she’s faced, though, Shannon explains that she wouldn’t change anything that’s happened, saying: “I definitely don’t have any regrets, I’m so happy with the way my life has turned out, wouldn’t change anything at all.”
