Teen Mom OG First Look: Maci Bookout Reveals She Suffered A Miscarriage As She Talks About Adopting Children With Taylor McKinney

Our awesome Teen Mom OG girls have been sharing their lives with us since the first days of 16 And Pregnant, showing us all the highs and lows that come with parenthood.

And in this first look at next week’s episode (airing Wednesday 7th February at 7pm on MTV), we see Maci Bookout bravely opening up about tragically suffering a miscarriage during a discussion about having more children with husband Taylor McKinney.

In the clip, we see Maci and Taylor – who have daughter Jayde and son Maverick together – talk about the possibility of extending their family over dinner.

Telling Taylor how she feels about the idea, Maci, who also has son Bentley with ex-boyfriend Ryan Edwards, explains: “We are not having another baby. You really want another child? For real?”

Taylor, though, seems more keen to give Maverick and Jayde a little sibling, telling Maci: “I love kids. I wouldn’t be mad about it.”

Admitting that she’d “rather adopt a child,” Maci added: “But I think we both agree that when we adopt, we do not want to adopt a baby. We want to adopt a child.”

With Taylor agreeing, the mum explained: “If you seriously want to have another baby, then I’ll do it. But I still want to adopt too.

“And if that’s really what you want naturally, I want to do it now.”

However, when Taylor says “if we want it to happen, it’s going to happen now,” Maci tells him that he’s “forgetting something.”

Looking upset, Taylor excuses himself to the restaurant bathroom, with Maci revealing what’s going on to the producers.

Opening up about her experience, Maci says: “I had a miscarriage. Her name’s Dandy. Dandelion.”

While Taylor explains that he doesn’t “want to talk” about what the couple have sadly been through, Maci tells him: “I think it’s important for people that are watching that we talk about it.”

Taylor then adds that he wants to speak to their family about it all, saying: “I’d like to talk to our parents about it first.”
