Arnold Schwarzenegger Confirms ‘Terminator: Genisys’ Title

No, that's not a spelling mistake! The actor announced the news with a photo of him on the set of his upcoming sci-fi blockbuster...

The next Terminator film just finished shooting, and star Arnold Schwarzenegger celebrated the occasion by posting a photo showing the star on set and confirming the title Terminator: Genisys.

While flick may boast a weirdly spelt title, the former California governor had only warm things to say about the project – especially when it came to his fellow cast and crew.

“From our director to the producers, from the camera team to catering, from visual effects to hair and makeup - we couldn't have done it without you. I can't wait to see our finished project and I know we'll remind the fans why they fell in love with the Terminator. On July 1, 2015, I'll be back.”

Plot details for the movie have been kept tightly under wraps, although we know who the key characters are.

[related]Dawn of the Planet of the Apes star Jason Clarke is resistance leader John Connor, with Game Of Thrones dragon queen Emilia Clarke portraying his mother Sarah Connor, and Australian actor Jai Courtney playing his father Kyle Reese. Schwarzenegger will be returning as the T-800 Terminator robot.

While we don't know anything about the story, given Jason Clarke’s age, we can safely assume that the film will be split between two time periods, possibly involving time travel.

‘Genisys’ is the fifth film in the franchise, which was previously rebooted in 2009’s ill-received Terminator Salvationstarring Christian Bale. That film is not expected to be referenced in ‘Genisys’, which arrives in cinemas next July.
