See Matt Smith In Character In New Terminator Movie
Former Doctor Who featured in first images from Terminator: Genisys...
The first look at the latest instalment of the Terminator movie franchise has been granted via Entertainment Weekly.
The latest edition of the US mag has two covers featuring stars from Terminator: Genisys - including our very own Matt Smith, formerly of the Tardis.
The one-time Doctor Who stars alongside Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney and Jason Clarke in the film - which is directed by Alan Taylor.
And Entertainment Weekly has revealed a major plot twist (so avert your eyes if you wish).
It reveals that Sarah Connor, the mother of messiah figure John Connor, was orphaned by a Terminator at the age of nine and has been raised by Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator!
The older T-800 - who she calls "Pops" — is apparently programmed to guard rather than kill.
EW says: "As a result, Sarah is a highly trained antisocial recluse who's great with a sniper rifle but not so skilled at the nuances of human emotion."
The movie opens next July and sees Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke playing Sarah Connor, with Jason Clarke as John and Smith playing his ally.
