This Marvel Hero Will Star In Disney's Lady And The Tramp Remake
Never ones to miss an opportunity for a live-action remake, Disney are currently in the process of updating another of their classic animations, with Lady And The Tramp the latest project to get a big-screen makeover. And excitingly, the studio is casting a Marvel hero in one of the two leading roles.
According to reports, Thor: Ragnarok’s Tessa Thompson will be lending her voice to pampered Cocker Spaniel, Lady. She’ll be starring opposite Justin Theroux, who will be voicing loveable mutt Tramp in the live-action / CGI mash-up.
They’ll be ably supported by Doctor Strange star Benedict Wong as Bull the bulldog, and Ashley Jensen as Jockie the Scottish Terrier. The new project will be directed by The LEGO Ninjago Movie helmer Charlie Bean, and will launch through its upcoming streaming service, which arrives later this year.
No exact release date has been confirmed as yet, but expect more updates sooner rather than later as the marketing hype behind the new service begins to crank up.
