Are The 1975 About To Drop New Music?

Everyone's favourite indie-pop rockers are teasing their new album online...

The 1975 have been teasing new music for a while but, in the words of Matt Healy himself, "it's happening.."

Following a social media white-out (think blackout but it's all white and pretty instead), the band's lead singer has tweeted the above mysteriousannouncement/warning to their fans.

While they have repeatedly stated their third album'Music For Cars'will be released on June 1st this year, new music of some kind is expected imminently.

In November last year Healy got fans' hopes up by seemingly confirming an EP would be released before the end of 2017, however it turned out to be their first live album instead.

Whether or not the original'Music For Cars'release date has been brought forward, the lead single could certainly be released now as their last album campaign launched months before it dropped.

After the false promise of the EP we hope that a statement promising imminent action like"It's happening.." really means we're about to get something. After all, New Music Friday is tomorrow...

Plus, since mid-December the band has been sharing daily photos from the studio, showing the different members in different stages of recording their third LP.

Anticipation for their third album is at an all-time high after their second album'ILike It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It'solidified them as one of the UK's best bands.

Come on, boys - give us something. We need it!
