The 1975 Launch New Era with Mysterious Countdown

They're back...

It's hard to believe that it's less than five years since The 1975 released their first album. In that time they've not only released multiple hit singles ('Chocolate', 'The Sound') but they've also established themselves as one of the UK's most exciting bands.

And now they're back. After months away from the limelight the boys have begun a countdown to their new era.

'WATCH THE 1975'S STUNNING 'SOMEBODY ELSE' VIDEO HERE...'

NO. WE'RE NOT JOKING. THE 1975 ARE REALLY GEARING UP TO RELEASE BRAND NEW MUSIC.

The band's lead singer, Matty Healy, took to Twitter on Monday to unveil a mysterious poem called 'A BRIEF ENQUIRY INTO ONLINE RELATIONSHIPS' and then yesterday posted a link to the group's website with an epic countdown to June 1st on it.

Now, while 29 days islongfor a countdown, it's still unbelievably exciting. The 'Love Me' stars are back.

To make things even more impressive, Matty tweeted "1st June - The 1975"in July last year just after revealing the title of The 1975's new album "'Music for Cars'". In other words, this comeback has been planned and staring us in the face for months.

As it stands, it is currently unclear if the group will release the entire album in June or just a lead single.

The1975 rarely play by the rules. We cannot wait to find out what surprises they've got in store for us.

Regardless it's so good to have them back. The 'A Change of Heart' boys always impress us.

We've had 'Somebody Else' on repeat since 2016 and are super excited to hear what's next.
