First Look At Dane DeHaan As New Green Goblin
Still from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 sees actor transformed into super-villain...
Spider-fans have been given their first glimpse of actor Dane DeHaan as Spidey's arch-enemy the Green Goblin - and it's not a pretty sight.
The acclaimed actor - who plays Harry Osborn in the rebooted superhero series - is the third villain to be revealed for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, after Jamie Foxx's Electro and Paul Giamatti's Rhino.
DeHann's version of the iconic baddie differs from that played by James Franco in the previous Spider-Man movies.
The still released by Entertainment Weekly shows a nightmarish character with green skin pickled with decay, rotting teeth, a pointed nose, wicked eyes and tufts of hair.
In addition to his putrid transformation, DeHaan's Goblin appears to be more mechanical, with a robot-like apparatus cradling his neck and the occipital and temporal portion of his cranium and green armor inspired by a cyborg.
Although the Goblin's storyline is being held tightly under wraps, Spidey fans know that Harry Osborn is deeply entangled in the web of lies and intrigue surrounding Oscorp, the ominous company responsible for the genetically engineered baddies intent on destroying the webslinger and anyone that gets in their way.
The film, which recently got a new trailer, is set for release on 18 April in the UK.
