Jamie Foxx As Electro On Amazing Spider-Man 2 Set!

Django Unchained star unrecognisable as he shot scenes in NYC...

Jamie Foxx has been spotted looking rather blue on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in New York.
The Django Unchained star was unrecognisable as he donned bright blue body paint for his role as villain Electro for the Marvel superhero sequel.

Foxx tried to hide his identity under the hood of his parka coat, but his glowing blue skin made him stick out from the crowd as he filmed scenes in Times Square.

The 2013 MTV Movie Award Generation winner plays Max Dillion in the flick, who turns into a super-villain after being hit by lightning and is left with the ability to control electricity.
Foxx previously described his character as a 'nobody', explaining he develops an obsession with Spidey: "He’s cutting out Spider-Man’s face and pasting it on all his boards... then everything goes bad with his mom.
“She doesn’t remember his birthday. He has something tragic happen and, when it turns on, he lights it up."

It is the first time Electro has featured in one of the Spiderman movies, with his suit still a mystery for fans of the franchise.
In the comics, the character originally wore a green and yellow outfit, but speculation suggests his suit in the revamp will be purple.
Foxx is quoted by The Sun as saying: "The producers want something for the future. They want to have it more grounded and not as comic book-y, so it won’t be green and yellow.
“They want to try new things, like a liquid rubber and things like that, and there are all these bolts and stuff in my arms when they are hanging me upside down... How did he become this way? So, it will be some new stuff.”

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is due to hit cinemas in April 2014.
