Paul Giamatti To Play Rhino In Spider-Man Sequel?
Actor reportedly in talks with producers of The Amazing Spider-Man 2...
Paul Giamatti is reported to be in negotiations to play super-villain Rhino in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that the 45-year-old actor - best known for his role in Sideways - could be joining Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Samuel L Jackson and Shailene Woodley in the Spidey sequel.
And the site also claims that English actress Felicity Jones is talking to producers about an unspecified role in the movie - which begins shooting in London next month.
Speaking to Showbiz Spy back in 2011, Giamatti revealed that Rhino was his favourite character as a youngster.
"I thought Rhino was the greatest thing when I was a little kid," he said. "It was a guy who was basically in this rhinoceros outfit, and I always thought, 'Why don't they have The Rhino in one of their movies.
"But maybe The Rhino wasn't that big of a deal for anybody but me. If they ever go with The Rhino, I would be ready and waiting."
