The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Gets First Official Clip
The first proper clip has been released for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Debuted via Yahoo! Movies, the one-minute clip shows Spidey attempting to negotiate with new villain Electro following a shocking (geddit?) incident in New York's Times Square.
The sequel - which is again directed by Marc Webb and stars Andrew Garfield as the webslinger - will be arriving in UK cinemas on 18 April.
And Webb has also been discussing the scepticism among fans at the fact that the movie contains three villains.
He told a panel at SXSW: "The main villain is Electro. Every other villain emerges around that. We were careful to make sure the stories entertained.
"You had to make sure to create obstacles that were difficult to overcome. We wanted to make the physical and emotional obstacles difficult. Rhino is in it for four minutes so it's a legitimate comparison, but when you see the movie, I'm confident."
Fans had been concerned at the way Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 turned out - with criticism that too many baddies were included.
