Adam Corbally Fired In The Apprentice Semi-Final
Market trader gets the boot following failure in luxury goods task...
Market trader Adam Corbally has become the latest candidate to be fired by The Apprentice.
The 33-year-old fruit-and-veg seller, from Glossop in the Peak District, missed out on a place in the final of the reality show after his team lost a task where they had to create affordable luxury product brands.
After having Lord Sugar's famous finger pointed his way, he said: "I believe I can bow out gracefully. I did what I said I'd do at the start of the process, which was be the best salesperson the process has ever seen, and I've stuck to that.
"I'm very grateful for the experience, and the opportunities it's now put on the table for me are life-changing."
Adam found himself in the boardroom with Nick Holzherr and Jade Nash after their confectionary brand, called Sweet Thing, was trounced by Ricky Martin and Tom Gearing's male grooming brand - Modern Gentleman.
Analysing his failure after the event, Adam said: "Our pitch was very sloppy but I think that was down to the team. No one wanted to practise the pitch, we only had about 15 minutes to prepare for it and no notes. In a real situation you'd have a proper plan.
"I would have liked the opportunity to prove myself in the interview stage, I can actually back up what I've said I've done... But it wasn't my day and that's fine."
The remaining four contestants will be interviewed by Lord Sugar's 'heavies' in Sunday's final, before one of them will be hired..
