Late legend Queenbandmate Brian May were on hand at the ceremony to accept theJay Sean, who picked up the gong for Outstanding Contribution In Music.
Speaking of his win, the Down hitmaker stated: "This is a big award title, it means a lot to me. I've only got to the beginning of what I want to achieve."
Sitar played Ravi Shankar took home the prestigious Fellowship Award, with his daughter collecting the trophy for the 91-year old.
Comedienne Meera Syal was also triumphant on the night, after being awarded the Outstanding Achievement In Television Prize.
