The Big Bang Theory star Simon Helberg has responded to rumours regarding who will play Kaley Cuoco's character, Penny's parents in the hit show.

When quizzed about the speculation that Friends actress Lisa Kudrow could play Penny's mum, Helberg - who plays Howard on the popular sitcom - told Associated Press: "I think Kaley (Cuoco) said something. I don't know how true any of that is. Sometimes we say, 'Oh it'd be fun to have this person,' and then that becomes like a rumour. I don't know if that's true. That would be awesome.
