Band reported to be taking legal action over unauthorised use of song...
Blues rockers The Black Keys are reported to be taking legal action against Pizza Hut and The Home Depot for using their songs in adverts without permission.
The NME reports that they claim Pizza Hut used "significant portions" of Gold On The Ceiling in an advertisement for Cheesy Bites Pizza, and The Home Depot used the song Lonely Boy in a power tools ad.
The duo of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carneare have reportedly submitted proceedings along with their producer Brian Burton - AKA Danger Mouse.
They claim to have sent cease-and-desist letters to both companies in May, which they say were ignored.
Lawyers apparently described the unauthorised use as "a brazen and improper effort to capitalise on [the] plaintiffs' hard-earned success".
The Black Keys are set to play the Reading and Leeds festivals on August 24 to 26.
