Emma Watson On Bling Ring Research 'Anxiety'
Emma Watson has revealed that she had difficulty getting to grips with her character for The Bling Ring.
The former Harry Potter star plays Nikki in the movie - a fictional character based on Alexis Neiers - the real-life leader of the so-called "burglar bunch".
Em-Wat confessed that [uuid=6bb3861e-bc1f-44f5-9d0f-2caea82a3b6a]as well as watching[/uuid] The Hills and Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she also watched Neiers' own reality show Pretty Wild as part of her research for the role.
She said: "To be fair to Alexis, [my character] is like three steps removed from who she might be in real life.
"A lot of the material in the movie was based on an article, which was based on a reality show, which we all know isn't real life.
"I wasn't trying to impersonate her - she just inspired the character. I watched Pretty Wild so many times to try and get her into my brain, though. It gave me anxiety. How do you watch it?"
Directed by Sofia Coppola, The Bling Ring opens on 5 July in the UK.
