1D, Ellie Goulding Land 'British Music Video' Brit Award Nods

Fans will vote for their favourite promo via Twitter during the bash on February 19...

One Direction and Ellie Goulding have scored further nominations at The Brit Awards 2014.

For the first time, the show will give away a gong for British Music Video - with fans choosing the winner as part of the newly-introduced social vote.

The nominees in line to receive the accolade have been selected based on official YouTube views and are as follows:

Calvin Harris ft Ellie Goulding: 'I Need Your Love' (Columbia, Sony)
Ellie Goulding: 'Burn' (Polydor, Universal)
John Newman: 'Love Me Again' (Island, Universal)
Naughty Boy ft Sam Smith: 'La La La' (Virgin, Universal)
One Direction: 'Best Song Ever' (Syco Music, Sony)

The social vote will be open to fans across the world during the ceremony on February 19, with the show being streamed live from London's O2 Arena on YouTube.

From 8pm, the vote will exclusively take place on Twitter with fans able to cast their nod by using a unique hashtag. Only one vote per account will be counted.

The likes of Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and Arctic Monkeys have been confirmed to perform at the event, with Drunk In Love star, Beyonce, also heavily rumoured to take to the stage.
